Initially focused on Manchester due to the council’s concern over the increasing number of plastic water bottles being thrown out, and the £93,000 bill it had last year for bottled water, the PHS Watermarques system is the ideal solution.

The PHS Watermarques counter top system is specifically designed for hotels, conference centres and restaurants to help alleviate this growing problem by supplying a constant supply of pure, chilled water.

The counter top unit is connected directly to the mains water supply and is attached to a mains water filtration system, which purifies the water, and can be stored neatly underneath the ‘tap’ in a cupboard. The pipe-work is then connected to a contemporary stainless steel twin dispenser font, and can dispense an endless supply of both still and sparkling water, that is clean and safe to drink.

This water can then be dispensed into Watermarques reusable branded bottles, which are supplied with the water unit systems. The glass, swing-top bottles are available in a variety of shapes and sizes, and can be branded with the logo of the particular company, helping to promote their own brand.

As the bottles are reusable and the water supply is endless, this process can help to reduce water hospitality costs by up to 90%, making it far more efficient and cost effective than traditional methods. By installing a counter top unit and dispensing the water as and when needed, this also eliminates the need to buy in large quantities of branded bottled water, which can be expensive, and also difficult to store, and chill, in large numbers.

There is also concern over the growing number of plastic water bottles that are discarded every year by consumers. Last year, 13 billion plastic water bottles were sold in the UK, with only three billion of these being recycled. The remainder were sent to landfill or incinerated, causing further environmental issues.

In connection, the transportation of generic bottled water is damaging to the environment, and unnecessary when tap water is readily available. PHS Watermarques counter top system provides a smart, corporate friendly answer to this problem, by providing fresh drinking water in a reusable glass container that is always available on site, and with many companies striving to meet a green agenda, the Watermarques system is the perfect solution.
