PHS Datashred acquires Securecycle Scotland
7 Nov 2007Securecycle Confidential Shredding Division, based in Kilsyth, Scotland, is the latest business to join the ranks of PHS Datashred – one of the UK’s leading, environmentally friendly, secure shredding companies.
Securecycle (Confidential Shredding Division), Scotland has built up a sound reputation over many years and the acquisition by PHS Datashred helps to further set the organisation apart from its competition. Kevin Bruce, regional business development manager for Scotland said: "Securecycle has made a name for itself in Scotland, but to become part of the PHS Group offers a new perspective on how we operate.
"We provide a cost-effective and very ‘green’ service to our customers. As security is paramount in everything that we do, our customers will now have total piece of mind that they are being serviced by one of the most forward thinking and innovative companies in the UK."
Securecycle (Confidential Shredding Division), specialises in providing an off-site security destruction service, removing confidential data from premises and shredding it back at its secure destruction facility. Only once all documents are shredded to a fine gauge are they then baled and recycled. Now as a part of the PHS Group, Securecyle plans to extend these services to offer an on-site shredding service, as it does across the rest of the UK.
Anthony Pearlgood, commercial director for PHS Datashred said: "We will now cover the whole of Scotland and offer a unique service as an organisation that operates nationwide while continuing to provide a first-class local service.
"Current customers will continue to talk to us on a local level, safe in the knowledge that the prestige and support of a national company is on the other end of the phone."
PHS Datashred offers flexible, tailor-made packages to its clients, pairing specific solutions to real needs that suit the client, rather than forcing the client’s needs into a particular ‘package’. Moreover, as well as providing training and literature, it has an envied range of accreditation, including ISO9001, BSIA, NAID, FACT, BS8470, BS7858, WEEE.
