Data security and destruction is our priority throughout the entire reuse and recycling process. We recognise the need to ensure confidential data stored in computer memory and on hard disk is comprehensively wiped and destroyed before recycling or reuse.
On occasions our clients prefer their IT equipment be totally destroyed. In these cases the storage medium (hard disks, flash memory etc.) is physically shredded into tiny pieces.
How it works
Your redundant IT equipment is collected by our team of security-vetted staff (BS7858 standard) and is taken to our secure reuse and recycling centre based in London.
All equipment is logged and categorised on collection, items in need of our specialist data wiping process are identified and processed. Where our asset tracking service has been commissioned all serial numbers and reference codes are noted and a report is generated for our clients.
Our team of specialists then ensure that all data is wiped to International standards using approved software.
IT Equipment is then reused, or where applicable broken down into components, which are then recycled. We have a 0% landfill policy and will always dispose of your equipment in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

Recycle or reuse?
We implement a policy of equipment reuse as far as possible. Reusing computer hardware and electronic equipment is more environmentally friendly than recycling – cutting down on the energy used during the recycling process and the manufacturing of new equipment.
Refurbishment and reuse of equipment allows us to maximise its lifespan and extend its use.
Where the electrical and electronic waste we receive is completely obsolete or damaged to such an extent that it cannot be refurbished, we break it down and reuse for parts.
