PHS Greenleaf raises £5,415 for Children’s Charity When You Wish Upon A Star

PHS Greenleaf, the UK’s leading interior and exterior landscaping company, has raised £5,415 for children’s charity When You Wish Upon A Star. ‘Father Christmas’ and Barbara White, the charity’s founder, met at the check-in concourse at Nottingham East Midlands Airport (which was decorated in true Christmas style by PHS Greenleaf) to accept a cheque from the leafy landscapers. The money raised will help pay for 25 very sick children to visit Lapland and meet the “real” Father Christmas. PHS Greenleaf donated £5 for every Christmas tree hired out from them last year. An additional £1,800 was also raised by Jane Bell and Janet Moores(Snow White and Cinderella in the picture above), two PHS Greenleaf staff members who really took the charity to their hearts and generated extra cash through a fancy dress staff fundraiser.
PHS Greenleaf, which is a division of workplace service company the PHS Group plc, began sponsoring When You Wish Upon A Star in 2003. With a range of 22 themed trees and accessories and a dedicated Christmas production and design team, PHS Greenleaf is looking to raise even more money for the charity in their 2005 Christmas campaign. Once again, the company will donate £5.00 for every tree hired out during 2005.
New to their catalogue in 2005 (which will raise extra money for Charity) is PHS Greenleaf’s Contemporary Range. A highly fashionable and contemporary collection, the range includes traditional green as well as black or white trees with bright, modern decorations, that are designed to meet the needs of those who want something that “little bit special” this Christmas.
When You Wish Upon A Star is a wonderful charity which helps make Wishes come true for sick and terminally ill children throughout Britain. They have now granted over 10,000 Wishes since Barbara started the charity back in 1990. The highlight of their year is a trip to Lapland, where children have the opportunity to go on husky rides and sleigh rides with Rudolph.
