PHS Starstruck & Charity Auction

PHS Starstruck is an event that we are holding at PHS, in association with our PHS Stars initiative to raise money for a local cancer Charity, Velindre. PHS Stars is an initiative run by the Group to recognise and reward PHS employees who demonstrate exceptional practical, working examples of the core values underpinning our Three Year Strategy, Project Apple. Every quarter, people will be recognised for their positive contributions to Professionalism, Teamwork, Trust and Honesty.
Cancer is a disease that effects so many lives, and as a group, we feel it’s very important to support the Velindre charity.
Last year we raised over £5,000 for Children in Need by performing PHS Strictly, where a number of couples learned routines and mimicked the BBC Strictly Come Dancing programme. This year, in a variation of the theme, we will be competing in groups. Our competitors are many and varied, amongst them are “Lynne’s Laundry Lovelies” from the Smethwick branch. Whilst teams from Head Office; “The Good Time Girls” and “HQ”, are planning to recreate dance scenes from the movies Moulin Rouge and Chicago respectively.
Also happening on the evening of the 9th October… a Charity Auction!
We’re hoping to add significantly to the money raised through PHS Startstuck, by holding a Charity Auction on the evening of the event. Up for auction is a signed, framed and authenticated Manchester Utd football shirt. The auction is open to PHS Customers, staff or indeed anybody who would like the chance to win the signed shirt. If you’re interested in placing a bid, feel free to come and join us on the night of the event itself and take part in the live auction, or instead email sealed bids directly to Jan Henley (PA to Chief Executive), prior to the auction.
