Teacrate celebrates Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day
January is typically the month of doom and gloom, and many of us try to do things that lift our spirits around this time.
Did you know that the ‘Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day’ is held each year on the last Monday in January? The event celebrates this amazing material and the satisfying tactile sensation of popping it, which can bring so much cheer on a dull and miserable winter day.
Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day originated in the USA ten years ago and the tradition of celebrating it each January has remained strong. It was started by a pair of DJs looking to fill in time, and today takes the form of a coordinated bubble popping amongst bubble wrap fans and addicts.
In honour of Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day, Teacrate’s Dave Ewart (Business Development Manager, Northern England) was interviewed live on Radio Newcastle at Teacrate’s Sunderland depot on Monday 31st January. Dave really pulled the stops out talking all things bubble wrap and even did a bit of live popping. Nice one Dave!
