The Department of Health released its "Safe Management of Healthcare Waste" on Friday 1st December. This document replaces the Health Services Advisory Committee’s 1999 guidance document "Safe Disposal of Clinical Waste" and aims to become the authority for all those involved in the production, transportation and disposal of healthcare waste.
