• Government survey reveals improvement in understanding of Environmental Legislation

  Netregs, the Government body set up to provide free environmental guidance to small businesses has just published their SME-nvironment 2007 survey. The survey, undertaken in June, asked a random sample of small and medium sized businesses in the UK about their understanding of environmental legislation and their company’s environmental performance.

• Farmers Urged to Register to comply with Agricultural Waste Regulations 2006

  On 15th May the Regulations regarding agricultural waste come into force. This means that you have only a few weeks left to register for any waste exemptions you require. It also means that if you produce more than 500 kg of hazardous waste on your farm per annum you will need to register with the Environment Agency as a Hazardous Waste Producer. (This weight limit does not include end-of-life vehicles.)
