PHS Teacrate Acquires another Major Player in Crate Rental Sector

15 Oct 2007

PHS Teacrate, Britain’s largest crate rental specialist, has announced its acquisition of another major player in the crate rental business; Essex based OCS QuickCrates. The move follows hotly on the heels of Teacrate’s take over of arch rival Rentacrate in a multimillion pound deal during July this year.

Staff at the company’s headquarters in Barking and at its satellite branch in Manchester will not be affected by the move, although managing director Graham Proudfoot has now left the company. QuickCrates’ former sales director Paul Bullock has been appointed regional sales manager and will spearhead sales operations, mainly within the M25 area.

Teacrate’s managing director David Wicks said, "Bringing another leading crate rental company into our group is another big step forward for the business and will further reinforce our position as the UK’s market leader. We now have enormous resources across the whole country and the nationwide service we give is the best in the industry. I’d like to reassure QuickCrates’ customers that there will be no disruption to the company’s operations and that the service they get in the future will be even better than before."
