Fire Alarms
A fire alarm is the main means of detecting a fire and raising the alarm. The fire alarm including all equipment and devices must be suitably maintained in good repair and working order ensuring it is effective and efficient.
Over time detectors become dirty and batteries have a limited life span, therefore it is essential to make sure your fire alarm is tested at the correct interval and documented ensuring the alarm system works correctly in the event an alarm is raised.
We routinely inspects and test fire alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839.
Periodic tests should be undertaken at 6 month periods complying with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
