Safety Matta playground safety surfacing is designed to provide a safer surface whilst promoting maximum grass growth for a more natural finish. The safety surfacing fits under and around play equipment and is also ideal for use in areas with high pedestrian traffic flow such as gateways and paths to protect grass roots and growth.
The non-slip tiles are flexible and mould to the shape of the ground, making them the perfect choice for slopes, and uneven surfaces. Safety Matta tiles are installed with a mesh underlay that prevents the safety surfacing from sinking into the ground during wet weather conditions.
Safety Matta provides a safer surfacing and also acts as a grass reinforcement tool, allowing grass to grow up and through the tiles. This means the tiles protect the roots of the grass and in only a few weeks the grass growth through the tiles blends in with the rest of the playground environment. Once the grass is fully established, it can be mowed as usual without causing damage to the Safety Matta tiles.
Safety Matta safety surfacing is guaranteed for 10 years and is almost maintenance free once installed.
