PHS Airwave Provides A Breath Of Fresh Air

31 Oct 2007

Hi-Res Airwave

The Airwave is a mains powered wall-mounted unit that neutralises unpleasant odours at the same time as filtering the air, in an unobtrusive and energy efficient way. It provides a cost effective solution to a recent problem that has surfaced as a result of the smoking ban, by helping to improve the ambience in social spaces.

"The ban on smoking in public has uncovered a multitude of unpleasant smells, ranging from sweat and flatulence to stale beer and damp conditions," explains Ian Osborne, Managing Director for PHS Washrooms. "The Airwave provides landlords, venue managers and FMs with a safe, energy efficient and unobtrusive solution to this new problem."

The Airwave from PHS Washrooms is a wall-mounted unit with an internal fan that circulates air and spreads a high quality odour-neutraliser with ‘pure air’ essential oil fragrance throughout an area up to 1,000m3. It can be set according to the size of the space, so the unit is as effective in a spacious bingo hall as it is in a small bar.

The unit is both safe for patrons with allergic sensitivities and for the environment – it uses just 66 watts on the highest setting and no aerosols are used in the odour-neutralising chemicals.

The Airwave is quick and simple to install, with all fitting carried out by PHS Washrooms’ team of qualified technicians. Because it is a wall-mounted unit, installation is fast and efficient, with no downtime and loss of revenue for the venue.

Providing a ‘fit and forget’ solution, the Airwave is sold complete with a full service package from PHS Washrooms, ensuring that FMs and venue managers need not worry about the maintenance aspects of the unit. The wall-mounted nature of the unit means there is no inconvenience or disruption associated with regular service requirements, such as entering wall cavities and service-runs.

"Ambience is a crucial factor in providing the kind of environment patrons of bars, clubs, restaurants and social halls will want to return to," says Ian Osborne, "The Airwave is therefore a vital tool in maintaining customer experience, in line with a hospitality and leisure sector organisation’s brand values."
