British safety standards

At PHS Compliance we pride ourselves on providing our customers with excellent standards of fire safety test, inspection and maintenance.

Legislation relevant to workplace fire safety systems includes the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO) which requires employers to take action to prevent fires and protect against death and injury should a fire occur, and the non-statutory Code of Practice for British Standard BS 5306 Part 3 which provides guidance for the design, installation and maintenance of fire detection systems in non-domestic premises. Additionally the ISO 9001 standard includes SP101 which covers the servicing of portable fire extinguisher equipment.
