The background
Crick Care Home is located between Newport and Chepstow on the A48. The staff look after 47 elderly residents, with activities including regular poetry classes, gardening, baking events and choir visits.
The home’s management team prides itself on offering a spacious environment for residents, visitors and staff. A light and airy day lounge combines with a comfortable dining room and wide corridors to help residents and staff with easy access and a pleasant place in which to live and work.
Crick Care Home is registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales and is a member of the Registered Nursing Home Association, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
The challenge
As part of Crick Care Home’s focus on providing a comfortable place to live for all residents, and with research showing the effectiveness of HEPA filters, the team at Crick Care Home decided to implement the AERAMAX® PROFESSIONAL air purifying system.
The solution
In total, five purifiers were planned and installed, according to how much use each would need. This ensured that the systems are fit for purpose, minimising any noise. The largest system was placed in the main lounge area alongside two smaller systems, while other units were installed in other communal areas of the home.
''There’s been a noticeable difference in odours since installing the AERAMAX PROFESSIONAL technology. Our view of a successful air system is making sure that once it’s installed, no one notices it’s there and this has been our experience at Crick Care Home with the AERAMAX PROFESSIONAL system.''
