The challenge
The entrance matting system at Spire Parkway had come to the end of its life. After previous positive experiences with phs, the private hospital got in touch to explore a new entrance flooring solution.
The new entrance matting needed to be hardwearing and hygienic. It was also vital to provide a solution that will be safe for people who use wheelchairs, and patients transported by hospital trolley.
The solution
After a consultation, Fitted Forma HD Matting was chosen as the most suitable solution for Spire Parkway. Manufactured in modular tiles, forma matting can be used to fit any size of matwell, with minimum wastage.
This modular system allows for any damaged sections to be easily replaced by changing only the individual tiles and not the whole floor; extending the overall lifespan of the flooring.
Fitted Forma Tiles are very durable and designed for high traffic areas, making them perfect for high-footfall hospital environments. They’re easy to clean and come with a 5-year guarantee
The result
The new entrance matting at Spire Parkway is helping capture traces of dirt and germs as people enter the hospital. Ongoing servicing from phs ensures the matting always looks its best and is working as effectively as possible.
''We have noticed less dirt and grit being brought into the building on people’s feet and trolleys. Therefore, the floors are being mopped less frequently, which is a potential slip hazard in the reception area.''
